I LOVE these ultra minimalist posters of fairy tales. I think the Princess and the Pea is my favorite — I would definitely hang it up on my wall.

Tell it like it is! This book knows how to win my heart. Yes please, I’d like a food guide on the best places to eat in Portland so I can stuff my face. My friend and I are thinking about going to Portland soon so this book may be essential for us. Especially because we are quite experienced in this sort of activity.
Plus the hand-lettering and illustrations don’t hurt either. :)

It was the birthday of one of the owners of Hear Black and she had a “birthday book theme”. Don’t you just love these flags with scenes from her favorite books? What a fun idea!

Now I know that there’s nothing like a classic Christmas tree but, you’ve got to admit, these book trees are pretty clever, no?

IKEA put out a new baking book titled “Hembakat är Bäst” (Homemade is Best). Aren’t the images like a work of art in themselves by breaking down the recipes to their basic ingredients? Try and guess which recipe they are! I think it’d also be really cool if you tried this yourself with your favorite recipe to hang up in your home — what a nice homage.

You know when you were in school and you’d watch one of those instructional films on a projector? This is definitely one of those but it’s still fascinating. The process of making a book in the old way (1947), from start to finish, using typesetters and plates — beautiful. And the paper trimming is quite lovely too, how it cuts the book like butter.
