Lush Green ring created by Seahag and Walrus. You can buy it at her shop on Etsy. But would you also need to buy a tiny lawn mower?
There’s actually a lot of great jewelry from her shop, a lot of “steampunk” essence to it…check it out!

A sneak peek! I wanted to show you all some detail of the outside section of my wedding invitations. Nothing too crazy yet as the full reveal will arrive eventually (I know, I’m being such a tease) and you’ll see it in all its letterpress glory, but this is fun too:

I wanted to play a lot with textures so I incorporated fabric and lace as well as letterpress (which you’ll see later). I also didn’t want to have to be a slave to colors with a “wedding color theme” but I did stick to a sort of garden/nature theme with a violet color consistently throughout. More coming later!

I’ve been trying to branch out into some more color lately. I feel like when the weather gets warm, I have to put away my grays and blacks and browns and bring out some COLOR!
Here are a few inspirations to that:
Colored yarn for wrapping gifts — I really like it against the kraft brown too. {via here}
Create your own rainbow with this dip-dyed garland! {found via here}
A rainbow bridal party is genius. How beautiful is that? {found via here} If I had bridesmaids, I’d be tempted to do that…
Although this would be painstakingly slow, these rainbow colored paper cranes have a cool effect. {found here}

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted about bears… but this is something to show you all. A carved piece by Cole Gerst, who is a pretty amazing artist.
It looks so tribal and ancient but modern at the same time. He creates a lot of other paintings and prints featuring animals as well which I love.

As Kevin and I are scouring the internet to furnish our new apartment (got a sofa! thank you craigslist), we’ve both become a little obsessed. My eye is on furniture 24/7. And we’re trying to recycle as much as we can by purchasing used pieces and going all Before&After like Design*Sponge. :) So this definitely caught my eye:

How clever! Converting suitcases into chairs. They’re designed and created by Katie Thompson. She has a lot of other up-cycled pieces as well but these chairs are super fun.

Going home this weekend for Easter celebrations! I wanted to post a gazillion illustrated, printed, sewn, sculpted, bunnies today because I kinda go ga-ga over bunnies in design. But I restrained myself and just am showing you these lovely origami bunny cake toppers made by The UnBirthday Party. Don’t you think these would be great toppers at a baby shower?
I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Ok, one more watercolor item I’d like in my closet. Then that’s it. I promise. :)
This dip-dyed tote from Freshly Picked. Comes in three colors too! And, at $15, it’s something I can afford.
