Fall style

14Jul

Let’s not think about cold weather or putting on pants in this 90 degree weather. But… I can still think about what kind of pants I know I’ll be looking out for this fall…

Slouchy cropped pants like these. Love! {image source}

Colored jeans (finally they’re back! I had a pair of purple ones back in’96 and got made fun of incessantly. but still loved them) {image}

Flare jeans…yay! (especially these from EmersonMade)

Fabric and Handle

31May

Fabric and Handle is an online shop with super fun linen tote bags…and for only $39!

Plus, they have adjustable straps as well:

Or…choose between a black or tan strap for all styles:

Aren’t they a perfect summer bag? Grab some sunscreen, bottled water and a sweat-towel (yes, that’s right. In DC, you need a sweat-towel in the summer), and you’re ready to go! I’ll take the seafoam green please and maybe I can find a sweat-towel to match. :)

Feelin’ forest-y

12May

I’d like to go for a walk in the woods soon — to get off the computer and just get out. How about you? Here are few pieces that inspired me:

Fig.1 Madewell trousers Fig. 2 Floating meadow mini bag from TopShop Fig.3 Mountainside Boots from ModCloth Fig.4 Fiddlehead pillow from Etsy Fig. 5 Jungle dress from Peacock and Plume Fig. 6 Acorn pendant from Etsy

One more…

18Apr

Ok, one more watercolor item I’d like in my closet. Then that’s it. I promise. :)

This dip-dyed tote from Freshly Picked. Comes in three colors too! And, at $15, it’s something I can afford.

Dreamy dress

15Apr

I found my favorite dress:

…except it’s $300…minor detail. But wouldn’t it be a perfect summer dress to do everything in?

Have a dreamy weekend!

Hair fun

14Apr

As many of you know or have seen, my hair is pretty typical (although these days it’s gotten super long. Mainly because I just don’t know what else to do with it).
{me out in the desert}

I recently saw a woman with one of those feather extensions and it looked awesome on her. It was so subtle but it just gave that flair. It was only one piece unlike this image:

Then, in the same day, I saw a woman who had those subtle pink dyed undertones within her natural blonde hair. I have been wanting to do this since my senior year of high school and still have yet to do so.

There’s just something so fun, sneaky and a bit of a surprise with these looks. And I think I better do it before I’m 30, don’t you think? (Don’t worry, it’ll be after the wedding!) What do you guys think about subtle rebellious hair styles?

Paper rucksack

12Apr

When I saw this bag, I was very drawn to it. Guess what it’s made from? Paper! Can you believe it? It’s made by a Japanese company, Siwa, who makes their own paper and fabricates them into wearable items. I wish I could read Japanese to learn more about the process on their website!
