I love styling with animals. I mean, it’s pretty obvious since I love animals anyway (what am I? 5?) but I do feel that designing and decorating with them create that touch of whimsy and movement in a space. I would love to have these vintage finds from Modish Vintage in my home right now:

C’mon, who has a brass rhino in their home? It’s seriously awesome.
On that note, Happy Friday!

I wish it would rain to cut the heat! And to use this amazing dog umbrella:
Genius or spoiled dog? Either way, it beats the wet dog smell.

I am unrealistically excited for the weekend. Why? Well, it’s a long weekend (yay!) and… I’ll be finishing up and mailing our wedding invitations (finally!) and… moving to a new apartment (yipes!). Lots to do and I can’t wait to do them.
For all of those who are also just hanging around this weekend, check out some of these fun links:
1. A new HGTV show, Secrets from a Stylist, Emily Henderson, is my new favorite show. I absolutely LOVE her styling. I’ve never been that jazzed about other stylists on HGTV, but she totally gets it and has the BEST styling ideas. You can watch full episodes here. Plus, she’s super quirky and funny (ok, I admit, I have a total girl crush on her in case you couldn’t tell).
2. This delicious-looking strawberry mint spritzer recipe to keep you cool this weekend
3. A scratch off map of the world. Scratch off where you’ve been!
{I can’t find the source of the image above unfortunately. Also, I do not condone wild animals as pets. But this image is pretty darn cute.}

Saw this and just made me smile. Not sure if I agree with every match-up (German shepherd as Helvetica?) but it is pretty funny and some are definitely a perfect match-up.

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted about bears… but this is something to show you all. A carved piece by Cole Gerst, who is a pretty amazing artist.
It looks so tribal and ancient but modern at the same time. He creates a lot of other paintings and prints featuring animals as well which I love.

Love all of the fun home products from Greener Grass Design. What I really love is all of their “fauna” products…of course. Thought I’d share a few of my favorites!
